Daimon (book) Review

Daimon, written by Jennifer L. Armentrout, is a prequel to the book, Half-Blood which is the first book of the Covenant series, and it is the best book ever. It is a YA book packed with action. Daimon does have romance in about ten pages but not a lot. However, Half-Blood does, so don't stop reading my review because I said there isn't a lot of romance.
The book is about a girl who is seventeen years old named Alexandria Andros. She and her mom escaped the Covenant and has stayed away from it for three years. Every time they attract attention, even if it is just a little, they relocate to some place else because they don't want to risk getting caught and brought back to the Covenant. Alexandria is a half-blood, her mom is a Hematoi, and her dad is a mortal. At the Covenant, half-bloods are trained to fight and protect the pure-bloods against the daimons. Daimons live off aether to survive and they mostly go after pure-bloods because their aether are better. One day, two daimons attacked Alex (what she likes to be called in the book) and her mom. Her mom died, and she ran to go back to the Covenant which is in North Carolina and she is in Miami, Flordia. While she ran for her life, on the way she got trapped by the Daimons. But the Sentinels showed up which means Aiden. She has a huge crush on him but she can't love him. Aiden is a pure-blood and she is a half-blood, it's forbidden. She got back to the Covenant with the help of the Sentinels. The real romance begins in the first book of the Covenant series, Half-Blood. Lots of it.
